Trans-loading and Cross-docking

One inbound container? Multiple final destinations? No problem.

Importing all your products in full container loads, regardless of the number of final distribution points involved, enables you to optimize your import dollars. Our experience in transloading import containers and dispersing their contents to multiple destinations stretches your import dollar even farther. PCC has the ability to oversee all your import transportation logistics and then route your products to various end points through our direct delivery trucking division.

More than ever, it makes sense in terms of both time and economics to either transload or cross-dock your imported goods at any of PCC's warehouses. Based on PCC's wide range of services and import experience, PCC Logistics can take the pain out of your most complex import shipments.

Transloading Cargo

Are you importing a container via the West Coast, whose goods are actually destined for the Mid-West; however, your ocean carrier wants you to terminate use of the container at the port of entry? Not a problem. PCC Logistics can dray your container to one of our facilities and then transload the contents into the appropriate equipment for delivery anywhere in the US interior.

Cross-Docking Cargo

PCC Logistics can also receive an import container, then cross-dock its contents, segregating it by destination in the process. The benefits are obvious: one container equals lower ocean freight costs than multiple LCL shipments. Once your shipment arrives at Port, we can provide drayage to our warehouse, then cross-dock that container's contents into one - or multiple trucks or rail trailers whose freight can then be delivered right to your customers' door(s).
